FULL DAY EXCURSION EL BOLSON

Kilometers to cover: 300 km.
Departure from Bariloche southwards towards El Bolsón bordering Gutierrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo Lakes.  Throughout the whole trip we will be traveling through a beautiful valley surrounded by “lenga” forest.  This is the perfect trip to observe the changes of each season: in autumn, it's coloured in red and in the valleys, the tree-tops are covered in ocre, yellow and copper-coloured tones, creating a spectacular multicolor scenery; in winter everything is covered in white, offering a particular magic touch; in spring and summer, the coloring of the flowers is amazing: the green, the blue and pink colors of the lupines accompany us throughout the whole trip.
El Bolsón is located in a valley surrounded by mountains, creating a special micro climax, ideal for the cultivation of fine fruits.  Since the '70's it has become the home of the ecological communities which still live there nowadays.
We will visit a trout farm, the home-made beer factory, the factory plants where the fine fruit jams are elaborated, and the craftsmen regional fair where  arts and crafts in copper, alpaca, wood, ceramic and home made jam are displayed. We will continue towards Puelo Lake, which has a singular blue-turquoise tonality, crossing plantations of hop and walnut, wheat, corn, sour cherry, raspberries, red currants and cherries.  These plantations of hop have a special significance for the region since the industrialization is an appreciable resource, apart from the walnuts, apple trees, cherry trees and grapevines of Corinto wine.
