City Tour and San Telmo Market
The tour starts at the historic May Square. it is surrounded by the Government House, also known as the "Pink House". The Cabildo (the old City Hall), and the Cathedral. we will go along 9 de Julio Avenue, to Plaza de Republica, where the Obelisk arises as a symbol of the city. Nearby, you will see the majestic Colon Theatre. Then we will visit the picturesque and colorful neighborhood of la Boca, with is famous 'Caminito' street. The visit continues toward San Telmo where we will visit the antiques fair, one of Buenos Aires main attractions. Every Sunday Plaza Dorrego changes its appearance, when it host over 270 stands selling antiques and valuable curiosities. Then the visit goes on towards the modern Puerto Madero neighborhood with its former warehouses, now turned into offices, flats, entertaining facilities and cutting- edge restaurants with view to the Rio de la Plata. You will continue northwards to visit the residential Palermo neighborhood with its elegant residences framed by wide green areas; passing by the "Rosedal" (Rose Garden, the Botanical Garden, the Zoo, the Planetarium,and the horse racetrack. Finally, you will reach to recoleta where Recoleta cemetery surprises the visitor with its varied architectural resources and the personalities that are buried there, such as Eve Peron. Return to the Hotel.
