ESTANCIA EL GALPON  

This estancia is located 21 km from El Calafate, it has 3.600 hectares dedicated to ovine breeding. It has a dinning room for 140 people.
Horseback rides, bird  and wild fauna watching at Birds Lagoon are some of the options.

5.30PM- Arrival at El Galpón. Welcome tea consisting on some of the specialties of the local pastries with regional jams will be offered.
6.30 PM – Kelpis dogs work with a small sheep herd.
7.15 PM- Shearing show in charge of  an expert shearer, followed by  a brief explanation about exploitation, production, packing and advantages of ovine wool.
8.10 PM- Observation and interpretation of wild life at the Bird Lagoon.
9 PM- Typical Patagonian 'asado' (kind of barbecue consisting mainly on lamb).
Return to the hotel.
