Day 3: Navigation - Lago Argentino - El Calafate

Transfer on pool service from your hotel, you will be picked up around 7:30 am and will undertake the journey of 40 Km to Punta Bandera, where you will embark. Full day sailing, covering the northern arm of Lake Argentino, watching the Spegazzini and Upsala glaciers, entering the bays that they form and sailing through the cord of icebergs located about 20 km from the Upsala glacier.
Return to Punta Bandera and then to El Calafate.
Total time of navigation: 5 hours on boats designed for 250 passengers.

Day 4: El Calafate - Estancia Nibepo Aike

Departure for the estancia Nibepo Aike located 55km from El Calafate.
This Estancia was founded by a Yugoslav pioneer named Don Santiago Peso, which took possession of these lands in the early twentieth century. Nestled in Los Glaciares National Park, this estancia lives of the cattle and secondly of the sheep farming. The visit of the estancia will be an opportunity to know the history of this area and to discover the daily life in the Estancia like participating in the traditional demonstration of shearing sheep.
From the Estancia, several excursions are possible during your stay, like horseback riding to Cerro Cristales, from where you can admire the Perito Moreno glaciar, and walk through the typical fauna and flora of Patagonia.
During the fishing season, you will also enjoy this activity on the lake Roca.

Day 5: Estancia Nibepo Aike - El Calafate - El Chalten

Morning at the Estancia with activities.

Departure from the Estancia after lunch at 14:15 and arrival in El Calafate around 15:30.

You participate in the rural activities of the ranch with gauchos, depending on the season.

Day 6: Trekking - Laguna de los Tres

The walk starts along a beautiful trail in the forest, on the West slope of the Polo mount, to get to a slight ascent to the camp Poincenot. The amazing views are with us the whole tour: the Blanco River valley, the Piedras Blancas glacier and its lagoon. The climb to the Laguna de los Tres starts at Poincenot and is hard, but the reward is well worth it. Closer to the mountains we cannot be, unless we are "andinistas". Fitz Roy in all its splendor and the spectacular Sucia lagoon.

Day 7: Trekking - Laguna Torre - El Chalten

We will go to Laguna Torre taking the Lagunas Madre e Hija Trail. This is mostly flat and then down to the Fitz Roy River which is coming from Lake Torre. The Cerro Torre, overlooking the lagoon, is one of the most majestic peaks and one of the most difficult in the world to climb, with its 2,000 meters of vertical granite. Next to it, other granite giants like Egger and Standhardt needles, Adela mountain range and the Cerro Grande with its hanging glaciers, adorn this majestic setting.
Return to El Chalten at the end of the day.

Day 8: El Chalten - El Calafate

Transfer from your hotel in El Chalten to your hotel in El Calafate in pool service. 210km - 3 hours 30 minutes - 4 hours. Departures at 9 am or 7 pm.

Day 9: El Calafate - Puerto Natales

Transfer with a private vehicule from the hotel to the bus station in El Calafate.
You leave from the bus terminal in El Calafate at 8:30 a.m. to Puerto Natales (Chile). This township is located 360 km South of El Calafate and 260 km North of Punta Arenas. During the trip, you admire the typical Chilean Patagonian landscape. As we reach Puerto Natales, you enjoy the view onto the many snow-capped mountain tops and glaciers belonging to the Andes Mountain Chain. Arrival is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Puerto Natales is a small town located at sea-level on the shores of the Senoret Channel.

Day 13: Ushuaia

Day 14: Trekking - Kayak

The Tierra del Fuego National Park, located at only 11 km from Ushuaia, and next to the border with Chile, has 63.000 hectares full of lakes, lagoons and rivers and exit towards Beagle Channel, characteristic that marks the difference with the other national parks of Argentina.
We start hiking along the valley of River Pipo and take the trail that leads us to Ensenada Bay from where we can view Islands Redonda and Estorbo and on the opposite shore of Beagle Channel, , the snow-white Mountains of the Sampaio Chain (Chile).
Once we reach the shore of Lapataia River, we boarder some kayaks to sail through Beagle Channel. On the way back, we discover Verde and Negra Lagoons and finish our trip through a beaver dam. Then we return to Ushuaia.

Note 2: an 8 hour excursion (including 4 hours walking and 1 hour kayak tour).

Day 15: Canal de Beagle - Navigation

Departure from the hotel to the Ushuaia Port, where you will embark on a navigation through the Beagle Channel.
The sailing will let you know the Fuegian geography and fauna.
We visit the Pajaros Island, famous shelter of Royal and Imperial Cormorant, Albatross and more than 20 seabirds.
Then we will sail near Lobos Island, where you can witness two species of Sea Lions.
While returning, we see Ushuaia, dominated by the striking beauty of Martial Mountain Range.

Note: Sailing approximately for 4 hours, on a catamaran with maximum capacity of 24 passangers.

Day 17: City Tour Buenos Aires - Buenos Aires

Visit Buenos Aires (half day, private tour).

Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city with European features, is among the 10 most active cities in the world. City of arts, cultures, theaters, traditions ... The variety satisfies the most demanding visitor.
You visit the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest in the world, dominated by the obelisk, a symbol of Buenos Aires. You will pass the Colon Theatre, one of the jewels of the Argentine architecture. Then you arrive to the famous or central Plaza de Mayo, next to buildings such as the Casa Rosada or Casa de Gobierno, the Cabildo and the Cathedral.

You end your day with the picturesque neighborhood of La Boca, and specifically the alley El Caminito, the spot for painters, tango dancers and singers.
Return to your hotel after the visit.

Transfer in a private vehicle from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park.

Today you will climb to the base of the Towers, the nicest point of the W circuit. From Las Torres area you will continue to El Chileno Refugio from where you can reach the base of the towers by going on a 2h hike. It's a climb on a very steep moraine, with rocks becoming larger and larger, to finally reach the most important spot: the Torres del Paine. It takes you another 2 hours to go back down on the same track.

Distance: 18km. Walking Time: 7h. Slope: + 990m / - 990m.

Day 11: Hosteria Las Torres - Puerto Pudeto - Lodge Paine Grande - Britannic camp - Lodge Paine Grande

Embark on a catamaran to cross Lake Pehoe. (35min)

Heading east this morning, you climb a short and easy slope, bordering Lake Skottsberg, named after the explorer who travelled the area in 1908. Then, you reach the Río Francés, which marks the beginning of the French Valley. You arrive at Camp Italiano after 2 hours walk. After taking time to rest and have lunch, you continue to go up north to the British Camp. It takes 3 hours from the Italian camp to the British camp. Back at the Italian Camp, you continue east, bordering Lake Nordenskjöld this time, facing the Cuernos del Paine, all the way to the Lodge Paine Grande where you will enjoy a well-deserved rest.
Distance: 25 km. Walking Time: 9h. Slope: + 650m / - 650m.

Day 12: Britannic camp - Lodge Paine Grande - Grey refuge - Hosteria Lago Grey - Lake Grey - Hosteria Lago Grey - Puerto Natales


Today you will be able to relax a little. You will walk 3/4 hours to get to the Grey Glacier. The trail offers panoramic views over the Grey Glacier and icebergs floating. The second part of the path will take you closer to the glacier. Once in the area of refuge Grey, you can walk 10 minutes to the Mirador and have a stunning view on the ice field. The terrible fire that destroyed in 2011 over 17,000 hectares in this area left some traces. You may realise how fragile this environment is.
Distance: 11km. Walking Time: 4h. Slope: + 365m / - 395m.
At 12:00 you board a comfortable boat (capacity 50 passengers) to cross the Lake Grey and see the very impressive Grey Glacier. It is part of the southern ice field, third ice sheet in the world after Antarctica and Greenland. Return to the Lago Grey Hotel.
