Day 1 : International Aiport Ezeiza

Meet your driver at Ezeiza International Airport – transfer to Buenos Aires in a private vehicle. Transfer with an English-speaking guide. Visit Buenos Aires (half day, walking tour).

Today, discover the political and historical centre of the capital . Start with the 9 de Julio Avenue , the widest in the world, dominated by the Obelisk , a symbol of Buenos Aires. You will pass the Colon Theatre , one of the jewels of the Argentine architecture, before arriving on the Capital main square, P laza de Mayo.

Your visit then takes you to San Telmo : this historical neighbourhood is a dynamic mix of tourists and locals: picturesque alleyways, old typical cafés, antique shops … This lively barrio is animated day and night – a famous flea market takes place every sunday around Dorrego square.

End your visit with the picturesque neighborhood of La Boca , with its small alley of El Caminito : painters, tango dancers and singers meet between the ancient colourful wooden houses.

Return to your hotel after the visit.

Day 2 : City Tour Buenos Aires

Walking City Tour Buenos Aires (half day).

Guided tour of the Recoleta neighbourhood, characterized by many colonial houses, often old houses of historical figures, currently inhabited by powerful Argentine families. Enter the luxurious Pacifico Shopping Center , characterized by its French architecture of 1889 with vaulted ceilings. This stunning place is a locals’ favourite.

Visit the Recoleta Cemetery , where many celebrities, writers and politicians rest. The best known and most revered even today is the tomb of Evita Peron , the legendary wife of President Peron .

Continue your visit by the Palermo neighbourhood, with a stroll in the park Tres de Febrero , inaugurated in 1875, representing the largest green area of the city.

Return to your hotel. Boedo Experience : Discover the historical Boedo neighbourhood in Buenos Aires and the daily life of a franco-argentinian family.

Visit the neighbourhood walking amongst the typical murales (colourful wall paintings) celebrating tango and football, before having a drink at Café Margot – a symbolic place dear to the locals.

Your hosts welcome you in their house, to teach you how to make empanadas and share a meal together. The evening ends with a kahoot game, quizzing all participants about the neighbourhood and its history. Night at the Palo Santo Hotel in Premium room (STD).

Day 3 : Buenos Aires

Transfer from your hotel to Buenos Aires Domestic Airport in a private vehicle. Domestic flight Buenos Aires* – Iguazu.

*National o international airport depending on time schedule and availability. Welcoming at Puerto Iguazu Airport and transfer to the hotel in a private vehicle.

Transfer with an English-speaking guide. Departure to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls in a private service with an English-speaking guide.

The 1,200 meters path takes the visitor along footbridges and viewing decks to admire the minor Floriano and Teodoro Da Fonseca falls before reaching the Santa María Falls: take in the breath-taking panoramic view over San Martín Island and the entirety of the falls.

Day 4 : Iguazu National Park, Argentinean side

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel to visit the Iguazu Falls, 18km from the city of Puerto Iguazu, on the Argentine side. Private service with English-speaking guide.

The Iguazu Falls in Misiones go beyond imagination. The falls are caused by a drop of 70 meters from the Iguazu river, through 275 falls.

Departure in the morning for the upper path of the falls on the Argentinian side which offers many panoramic viewpoints. Continue on the lower path which allows you to observe the Dos Hermanas Falls, and San Martín Island. Free time for lunch. After lunch, continue your discovery by the Garganta del Diablo path, which face the Devil’s Throat . This powerful fall, 150 m long and 80 meters high, is shrouded in a dense mist.

Day 5 : Puerto Iguazu

Transport from Puerto Iguazu to the Surucua lodge located in Comodante Andresito by private vehicle. As soon as you leave Puerto Iguazu, you enter the luxuriant paranaense forest passing through the red earth tracks typical of the region. The missionary forest is one of the most important ecosystems with regard to biodiversity, which exist on the American continent. Your host Adrián will propose various activities to choose from, depending on the season and weather conditions (in English or Spanish):

– Bird watching and nature photography. Among the most significant species, you will find Surucua Trogons, band-tailed Manakins, Araçaris…

– Hikes in the Parana forest

Transfer by private vehicle from Posadas to the Posada Uguay. You arrive at posada Uguay, located in a well-preserved area of the Esteros del Iberá Park.

Day 9 : Esteros del Iberá

From the Hotel, enjoy an exclusive access to Laguna Fernández, a seldom explored area. You can access it by boat or kayak. This environment offers unique opportunities to observe wild animals such as the Yacaré cayman, the carpinchos, the marsh deer, etc.

Guided tours are organized on foot, on horses or by bike all around the Uguay property or towards the Guazu-Cuare Reserve.

Day 11 : Esteros del Iberá - Buenos Aires

At 6 PM., regular transfer from your hotel to the town of Mercedes.

Arrival is scheduled around 8:45 PM. depending on weather conditions. After breakfast, make the most of your last morning on the grounds of the Posada and enjoy some last activities.

Lunch and a tea-break will be served before your departure. Bus transport from Mercedes to Buenos Aires. Note: 9 hour journey

Day 12 : Retiro station - San Antonio de Areco

Transfer from Buenos Aires bus station to San Antonio de Areco in a private vehicle.

Around lunchtime, you reach the Estancia El Ombu. Walk below the hundreds-years-old trees : oaks, araucarias, palm-trees, eucalyptus… 300 hectares are reserved for cattle – after the traditional Asado, ride one of the 38 horses of the property, try one of the sulkies or walk around. Depending on the working calendar, you can observe or participate in the tasks of the estancia: vaccines, cows gathering, branding …
